Culture3

A short boat ride from Mykonos, Delos is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Greece’s most important ancient sanctuaries. Known in mythology as the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, and the brightest and most light-filled place.

The iconic Panagia Paraportiani sits in the Kastro quarter of Chora and its whitewashed, sculptural form dates back to the Byzantine era and is a striking example of Cycladic architecture.

Right on the water’s edge in Chora, Little Venice is famous for its colourful balconies and vibrant atmosphere. Overlooking the southwest end of the harbour, it was where ship captains built their houses with balconies hanging over the sea.
