Next to the Chapel dedicated to Saint Demitrios the traditional Cretan cookery is equipped with a traditional Cretan oven and an “Antikristiera” a special fire pit that is used to cook the “Antikristo”. The name “Antikristo” refers to the cooking method of lamb which literally means “facing each other”. This method is very popular in Crete since ancient times and is traditionally used by shepherds and men living in mountainous areas, since it was very simple to prepare. In fact, only salt and fire is required. Experience a Cretan cooking feast organized by your host next to the Chapel in the pergola overlooking the Libyan Sea.
